MA Girl's Quick Thinking Credited For Rescuing Boy From Well
The girl sprung into action when her 5-year-old neighbor fell into a 20-foot well Friday, according to reports.

TYNGSBOROUGH, MA — An 11-year-old girl's quick thinking is being credited for rescuing a boy who fell into a well in Tyngsborough, according to WCVB 5-ABC.
The 5-year-old boy was playing in his front yard when he stepped on a well cover that gave way.
The boy's mother she "heard a scream that I've never heard before from my son," KALB 5 reported.

The boy's neighbor, 11-year-old Juliana Fischer, heard him as well, called 911, then grabbed a ladder to help pull him out, according to KALB 5. The boy had fallen about 20 feet down.
Juliana's father went and got a rope. The boy was able to climb out of the well, WCVB 5-ABC reported.

EMTs arrived at the home to provide medical aid and found the boy was safe. He was transported to Lowell General Hospital for evaluation and later was able to return home.
Crews placed a heavy metal plate with bricks on top of the well's entrance until a permanent solution can be found, according to KALB 5.
