This MA Neighborhood Among Most Popular In Country, Realtor.com Says

A Massachusetts neighborhood was among the most popular in the U.S., according to Realtor.com's top 10.

SANDWICH, MA — If you're searching for one of the most popular neighborhoods in the country, you just have to go to Cape Cod. East Sandwich landed at No. 9 on Realtor.com's list of the most popular neighborhoods in the U.S.

Economists at Realtor.com identified the most popular neighborhoods by determining how many views each listing in those markets received in January compared to the typical U.S. home.

Sandwich was founded in 1639 and is the oldest town on Cape Cod.

A typical home in the quaint coastal community was $924,750 last month, at $433 per square foot, according to Realtor.com. This makes it the fourth most expensive area among the nation's 10 most sought-after neighborhoods.

The Beacon Hill section of Boston also received a mention in "5 additional popular neighborhoods." The median price of a home in that neighborhood is an eye-watering $2,775,000, according to Realtor.com.

The Woodmont section of Milford emerged as the No. 1 popular neighborhood in the county with the exclusive Beverly Crest section of Los Angeles ranking No. 2, where an average home goes for north of $5 million.
