MA Weather: Snow Possible As Sun Gives Way To Heavy Rain, Wind
While some parts of the MA may see up to two inches of snow, most areas of the state can expect about an inch of rainfall and heavy wind.

MASSACHUSETTS — The picture book weather that offered runners cool temperatures and sunny skies for Monday's Boston Marathon will give way to heavy rain and potentially damaging winds this evening.
A fast-moving storm system is expected to head into Massachusetts and New England this evening, with the potential for wind gusts in the 40 MPH range for much of the state, and as high as 65 MPH on Cape Cod and in the western part of Massachusetts. That could leave the door open for potential power outages Tuesday morning, with eastern and southern coastal areas getting the brunt of the storm.
The National Weather Service expects clouds to begin moving into greater Boston on Monday afternoon. Heavy rain is expected to start falling in Massachusetts after midnight. With temperatures in the 30s, some high-level areas may see a wintry mix and possible snow accumulation. Parts of western Massachusetts could see as much as two inches

Most areas of Massachusetts can expect about an inch of rainfall overnight, with the precipitation moving out of the region after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
