More Than 100 Animals Rescued From MA Property: MSPCA
The majority of the animals were farm birds, including chickens, turkeys, geese, quails, ducks and a guinea hen, the MSPCA said.

PLYMPTON, MA — More than 100 animals were rescued Tuesday from a property in Plympton, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals-Angell said.
"The majority of the animals are farm birds, including chickens, turkeys, geese, quails, ducks and one guinea hen," MSPCA-Angell said in a media release. "Two dogs, two cats, five rabbits, two ferrets, and five goats were also seized."
MSPCA-Angell Law Enforcement Director Chris Schindler said a warrant was obtained to remove the animals.

“We had probable cause to believe that animals on this property were being kept in violation of Massachusetts Animal Cruelty Laws,” Schindler said in the release. “When we got there, we saw that they were living in unsanitary conditions with inadequate access to food and water.”
The Plympton Police assisted in removing the animals, according to the release.

Most of the animals were taken to MSPCA-Angell at Nevins Farm in Methuen, the release said, but the dogs and two of the rabbits were brought to the MSPCA-Angell Cape Cod Adoption Center in Centerville.
“Because the animals were seized as part of the warrant, they’ll be held pending the outcome of the investigation,” Schindler said. “They aren’t available for adoption.”
