MV Homicide Charges, Firefighter OUI: MA Crime

A Woburn woman will be on probation for 18 months after admitting to kicking an Uber driver from Peabody in the head and then kicking and trying to bite a Salem State University police officer. A Salem District Court judge found Amy Galindo, 21, of 33A Park Drive in Woburn, guilty of disorderly conduct assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. Read more.

Indictments have been handed down in a February Needham crash that killed two Needham High School students. Robert Berry, 65, of Needham, was indicted on charges of negligent motor vehicle homicide and two counts of aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Danis Antoine-Guiteau, 52, of Wellesley, was indicted for manslaughter and negligent motor vehicle homicide, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office. Read more.

A man who spent 10 years as a firefighter for the Mansfield Fire Department has admitted to driving while drunk. James P. Devine, 38, pleaded guilty in Attleboro District Court Thursday to his second OUI charge and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. Read more.

Braintree Traffic Stop Turns Up 36 Grams Of Cocaine, Police Say

A Dorchester man faces drug charges following an alleged cocaine sale in Braintree. Luis Pujols, 19, was recently arrested and charged with trafficking 36 to 100 grams of cocaine and distributing cocaine. He was arraigned in Quincy District Court on July 16, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges and was ordered held on $10,000 cash bail. Referencing the recent deaths of two MA cops, the man called out an officer who stopped him, police said. He now faces even more charges.
