Police Officer Struck By Car In Fitchburg, Suspect Flees
State Troopers are searching for a suspect who they say took off after hitting a task force officer on Mechanic Street in Fitchburg.

FITCHBURG, MA — A police officer in Fitchburg was hit by a car Wednesday morning, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Police say they were attempting to arrest a suspect around 10:30 a.m. on Mechanic Street in Fitchburg when a local police officer who is part of a Massachusetts State Police task force was struck by a vehicle.
Police did not release the officer's condition but said the suspect immediately took off after hitting the officer.
