Public Wake To Be Held For Leominster Marine Killed In NATO Exercise
Capt. Ross Reynolds, 27, of Leominster, will be remembered and honored by his hometown during a public wake Monday afternoon.

LEOMINSTER, MA — A public wake will be held for all to remember Capt. Ross Reynolds, a 27-year-old Marine and Leominster native who was killed last month during a NATO training exercise in Norway.
The public wake is scheduled for Monday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Leominster City Hall, and a funeral Mass at St. Cecilia's Church is scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Reynolds was among three other Marines who died when their Osprey aircraft crashed in Norway during a NATO training exercise called Cold Response 2022 on March 19.

Reynold's body returned to his hometown on Saturday, and hundreds stopped by to support his family for a vigil on Sunday night in Leominster City Hall. Among the attendees of the vigil were Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella and Massachusetts Congressman Jim McGovern.
In addition to Reynolds, the bodies of Capt. Matthew Tomkiewicz, of Indiana, the other pilot; Gunnery Sgt. James Speedy, of Ohio; and Cpl. Jacob Moore, of Kentucky, arrived in their respective hometowns on Saturday.

According to his LinkedIn page, Reynolds was a Leominster High School and Worcester State University graduate, with honors from both schools. Reynolds had just gotten married in February.
The funeral Mass will also be broadcast live at Leominster City Hall, and a private burial with full military honors will be held for him at the Massachusetts Memorial Veterans' Cemetary in Winchendon.
