Snow Threats, Bitter Blast Brings Winter Feel Back To MA This Weekend
After a stretch of spring-like days, winter weather will make a return to New England this weekend.

MASSACHUSETTS — A weekend reminder is coming that — despite the break in the relentless two-month cold stretch with temperatures in the 50s and abundant ice melting this week — winter is not completely done with New England quite yet.
A chance of snow Friday and Saturday night and a January-like bitter blast of air Sunday and Monday will put a damper on budding spring fever across Massachusetts before warmer weather returns next week, according to the National Weather Service.
Thursday was to be another mild day even if it lacked the warm sun of earlier this week. Any morning snow turned to rain with temperatures reaching into the 50s for part of the state and sticking in the 40s in the Merrimack Valley and Worcester Hills.

Temperatures will fall into deep freeze territory Sunday night with a low of 13 in Boston and single digits — with wind chills near zero — north and west of the city.
Monday will be more of the same with a high near 32 before temperatures moderate and rain returns for the middle of next week.
