St. Patrick's Day Weekend Could Be Spent At These MA Homes

More Massachusetts communities are set to celebrate St. Patrick's Day this weekend. Take a look at two homes in those communities.

MASSACHUSETTS — St. Patrick's Day in Massachusetts is more of a season that it is a one-day holiday.

That was true last week on Cape Cod and in Worcester, when those communities hosted annual St. Patrick's Day parades a week before the holiday.

Now that the holiday is finally here this weekend there are additional communities hosting major parades and, for this week's column, we'll again look at the home markets in two of them.

Again, we pictured having a home in these two places to serve as the home base for your weekend St. Patrick's Day events. Here's what we found:

216 West Franklin St., Holyoke, Mass.

This Holyoke home features two bedrooms and two bathrooms while being listed for under $300,000, a rarity in the ever more expensive Massachusetts real estate market.

On Sunday, Holyoke will host its own St. Patrick's Day parade which the city claims in the premier parade in the state. It also follows up a popular road race, which means this home could play as a major home base for a very, very fun day.

1 Winslow Ave., Scituate, Mass.

Last week's column focused on outdoor space for the home base homes. This Scituate home certainly has outdoor space to enjoy, but you may not want to with home well-done the indoor upgrades are.

The town is known as the "Irish Riviera" for its large Irish American community.
