Storm Damage Lingers In MA After Powerful Storms
Tuesday's storms produced two tornadoes, major flooding, damage to shellfish beds and local states of emergency.

MASSACHUSETTS — Many residents and communities across Massachusetts are cleaning up today following powerful storms that rolled across the state Tuesday morning, dumping multiple inches of rain and spawning two tornadoes.
The state will get a break from wild weather, but only for about a day. The National Weather Service in Norton says the chance of thunderstorms — and the chance of a tornado in the southeastern part of the state — returns Thursday afternoon, and again on Saturday.

Powerful storms that dumped heavy rain on the state have led North Andover to declare a state of emergency.
Several cars were stuck in flooding after drivers tried to make it across flooded roadways, and that was just part of a busy Tuesday.
"I've seen this in Kansas, not Massachusetts, so this is pretty unusual," said Amy Kaufman, who scrambled to pick up her three-year-old.
A tornado was confirmed in the Marstons Mills area of Cape Cod, the second in Massachusetts during a day of severe weather.
