Acton Police Bust Two on Cocaine Charges

A Littleton man and a Lowell man were arrested Monday, Sept. 9.

Detectives from the Acton Police Narcotics Unit on Monday made a cocaine bust while conducting surveillance in the parking lot on Nagog Park Drive. 

According to a press release from the department, detectives doing surveillance spotted a man known to them walk up to a white SUV to conduct what appeared to be a drug deal. 

Following that observation, the detectives stopped and questioned the known party, finding cocaine, according to the press release, and then on a subsequent stop of the SUV recovered a significant amount of cash.

Both men were arrested. They are: 

  • Daniel R. Cavelier, 60, of 5 Sara Doublet Road in Littleton, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class B Substance (Cocaine) and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substances Act.
  • Eduardo Soler, 33, of 76 Bellevue St., Lowell, was arrested and charged with Distribution of Class B Substance (Cocaine) and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substances Act.
According to Deputy Chief Rich Burrows, the incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9. The driver of the SUV was Soler, and police seized a small amount of cocaine and hundreds of dollars during the bust, Burrows told Patch via email.
