Injured Motorists, Chair Fire and More From the Acton Police Log

The following was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

The following was reported by the Acton Police Department on May 14:

  • Emergency personnel was dispatched to Powdermill Road for a report of a fire inside the building. Maynard FD assisted. Engine 1 reported a chair was on fire. An electric motor burned out on the chair. Board of Health responded.
  • An officer was dispatched to Nagog Park Drive for a report of malicious destruction.
  • Emergency personnel responded to Powdermill Road for a report of an accident with unknown injuries. A caller reported the operator of one vehicle seemed disoriented and confused. Medical assistance was refused. Injured person signed refusal papers.
  • Officers responded to Massachusetts Avenue for a disturbance. A caller reported that a male came in and had a beer, then his mother came in and they argued. She stated the male tried to close the door on his mother. He then appeared to have locked himself in a black SUV. Both parties went home.
  • Two callers reported a loud bang that was heard on Heron View. The bang sounded like a gun shot. Responding officers found several houses without power. NSTAR was notified.
