1. Three Weeks of Paving Starts Monday, Sept 30Affected streets include Central Street (from house #191 to Windsor Avenue), Kingman Road, Castle Drive, Macleod Lane, Heather Hill and Arlington Street (from Summer Street to Notre Dame Road). Get the details here.

3. Make A MESS: Sock PuppetsAt 10 a.m. this Thursday, Oct. 3, the Discovery Museums will host a Children's Discovery Classroom inviting children to use a special selection of tools and materials to create a sock puppet characters to create stories about and share during storytime. 4. A-B Field Hockey's Play 4 the CureThis Saturday, A-B field hockey will play the third and fourth games out of five in its annual "Play for the Cure" fundraiser to help fight breast cancer. At 5:30 p.m. at Leary, they JV squad will take on Central Catholic, with the varsity to follow at 7 p.m. Get the details here

5. Oktoberfest Road RaceThis Saturday, Oct. 5, the Oktoberfest Road Race kicks off the West Acton Merchants Oktoberfest Celebration with a 5k Run-Walk through the village of West Acton. Race day registration begins at 8 a.m. Get the details here
