• Legislature approves Acton's home rule petitions concerning public safety officers' residency and library trustees (actonexchange.org) — Two Acton home rule petitions have been signed into law, expanding the hiring radius for police and fire personnel and restructuring governance of the Acton Memorial and West Acton Citizens’ libraries. These changes aim to ease public safety staffing challenges and create a unified library board while preserving separate votes on Citizens’ Library–only issues. Several additional Acton petitions, including youth voting and ranked-choice voting, remain pending.
   

• Town of Acton announces new website for CrossTown Connect, the Town's free transit services (actonexchange.org) — Acton has launched a new CrossTown Connect website to make booking the town’s free local transit service much easier. Residents can now view shuttle routes in Acton and Boxborough, request on-demand rides around Acton, Littleton, and Concord, and access multilingual, ADA-compliant information online. The site also highlights local destinations and connections to other transportation options.
