Police Log: A Hit-and-Run, Suspicious Activity and a Leaning Pole

Friday, Oct. 4

2:01 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Mass Ave. The building checked OK, according to the log entry.

8:28 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported hit-and-run accident on Great Road.

10:24 a.m. – Police responded to Central Street for a report of a smoking transformer. NStar was on the scene.

11:28 a.m. – A report of suspicious activity came in from Sawmill Road.

1:49 p.m. – A property manager from Main Street turned in a wallet found at the location.

3:53 p.m. – Police responded to a report of fraud on Great Road.

6:12 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a pole leaning on Wampus Avenue. NStar was notified about the issue.

7:40 p.m. – A domestic was reported on Old Stone Brook. The responding officer reported it was a verbal only.

8:06 p.m. – A man on Alcott Street reported someone was trying to get into his bank account.

8:18 p.m. – Police responded to Newtown Road for a report of suspicious sounds coming from the basement of a residence there.

8:44 p.m. – A 911 misdial came in from Great Road.
