Police Log: A Motel Stabbing, Idling Complaints and Possible Road Rage

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct. 9

1:12 a.m. – A woman reported people moving around inside an Arlington Street business when a cruiser drove by and checked with a spotlight. The responding officer reported it was the owner or employee who’s in there this time every night.

2:56 a.m. – Police responded to the Concordian Motel on Hosmer Street for a reported domestic. As a result, Christopher R. Cady, 39, who gave 71 Hosmer St., #7 as his address, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, to wit: a knife.

3 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Main Street.

7:30 a.m. – Police responded to a report claiming that, for the past few weeks, two vehicles have been idling in a Great Road parking lot for 20 minutes in the morning. The caller claimed this was a problem last winter, as well.

9:14 a.m. – Police responded to Piper Road for a reported water main break.

11:41 a.m. – A past hit-and-run accident was reported from Great Road.

2:33 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Central Street.

4:58 p.m. – Police responded to Great Road for a report of an unidentified odor in an area where high-efficiency gas boilers had been installed earlier in the day below a window to the unit.

6 p.m. – A Great Elm Way resident reported his son was being threatened by his mother.

8:20 p.m. – A disturbance was reported on Avalon Drive.

9:21 p.m. – Police responded to a reported disturbance in which a woman reported someone tried to hit her with their car.
