Sierra's Restaurant Reopens Tonight as an American Sports Pub

Famous margaritas will still be on the menu at the Acton resident's reborn eatery.

Sierra's Restaurant, the popular Mexican eatery that closed earlier this year in Sudbury, is reopening as an American sports pub today at 5 p.m.

The restaurant is having a "soft" opening and is planning a bigger grand opening in the near future.

Owner Sam Cannarozzi, an Acton resident, suddenly closed his business of 23 years without a hint last spring, citing financial struggles.

"I'm sorry that it happened that way," he told Sudbury Patch earlier this year. "I appreciate all the support. I got a ton of text messages, emails, letters, phone calls, saying reopen and that they care about us. I really appreciated that and look forward to having them back."

Patrons can expect new food and drink menus tonight, along with the margaritas that made the restaurant so popular.

Cannarozzi's other restaurant, Serafina in Concord, has a similar story to that of Sierra's. It, too, closed suddenly earlier this year and reopened a few months later with a different menu.
