Sock Puppets at the Discovery Museums, AB PIP Talks STEM
We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Oct. 3 in Acton.

1. Make A MESS: Sock Puppets: At 10 a.m. this Thursday, Oct. 3, the Discovery Museums will host a Children's Discovery Classroom inviting children to use a special selection of tools and materials to create a sock puppet characters to create stories about and share during storytime. 2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for Oct. 3 include the Economic Development Committee at 7:30 p.m. at Acton Town Hall, the Acton/Acton-Boxborough School Committees' Policy Subcommittee at 9:30 a.m. at RJ Grey Junior High and the Acton Public (APSC) and Acton-Boxborough Regional (ABRSC) and Acton-Boxborough Transitional (ABTSC) School Committee at 7:30 p.m. at the Junior High.
3. AB PIP STEM: The Acton-Boxborough Parent Involvement Project (PIP) will hold a monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday night, where parents can find out how you to involved with events such as DiscoverSTEM, Nature Walks, Family Game Night, 3rd and 5th Grade Market Math, and 4th Grade Star Party. 4. ICYMI: In case you missed it, earlier this week we shared a regionalization update from Acton's school committees -- the first monthly update of the year. If you haven't yet, definitely check it out.
5. Warm Again: Should be mostly sunny today, with a high of 78, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a cloudy evening with a low in the 50s.
