"As James was raised solely by Kristy, his best friend’s parents, Michael and Noel Napolitano, of Andover, Massachusetts, have jumped to James’s rescue and taken him in, planning to now start the adoption process," the GoFundMe description reads. "In addition to James, Michael and Noel have four other children in 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 8th grades, so they will have quite a full house."

The GoFundMe, set up by Sara Blais, is asking for donations "to help with James’s education and other extraordinary needs that he may have to help lighten the load of the Napolitanos, who have clearly already done so much."

"Thanks in advance for anything you can do to help brighten James’s future," Blais wrote.
