5 Things to Know, Feb 11: Special Town Meeting

1. Special Town Meeting: The Special Town Meeting, which is being held to vote on more funding for the Bancroft School project, will go on as scheduled tonight at 7 p.m. at the Collins Center at Andover High School. Check out the Finance Committee's report on this Special Town Meeting. 

2. APS Closed: The Andover Public Schools are closed today due to the continued street cleaning effort by the public works staff.

3. Snow Ban: The Andover snow parking ban has been in effect since 7 p.m. Friday night and will continue to be in effect until further notice. The snow emergency notification is posted on the town's website at andoverma.gov.

4. Trash Pick-Up: Trash Pick-up will not be affected by this storm, according to the Andover Department of Public Works. If it is delayed it will be announced at this number - (978) 623-8350, and then 1.

5. Weather: Today will bring a 100 percent chance of rain and snow before noon with a high of 40 degrees. Less than an half inch of accumulation is expected. Tonight will bring a 30 percent chance of showers with a low of 33 degrees.
