5 Things You Need to Know Today, Sept. 25

Before you start your day here are five things you need to know.

1. Do You Have the Town's App? Earlier this past summer, the Town of Andover announced a smartphone app that allows Andover residents to report any type of "quality of life" issue and indicate the exact location on a map. It's called SeeClickFix (just search that exactly) and it's free to download. Since its launch, residents have been using it. The photo attached shows a section of Andover with multiple complaints. Complaints range from potholes to drag racing to slate shingles following off a roof. Check it out...it's kind of neat!

2. Free Orange Leaf? That's right. Free Orange Leaf frozen yogurt for the first 200 customers this Thursday, Sept. 27. It's being done at all locations as a fundraiser for Children's Hospital. Learn more in an article that will run this morning. 

3. Library Activities: Memorial Hall Library will be holding two Mother Goose storyhours at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., followed by a pajama party at 6:30 p.m. for ages 3 to 5, as well as Teen Movie Night in the teen room. Adults programming includes a "Great Books Discussion Group" at 7:30 p.m. Find all these events in thelibrary's online calendar.

4. ConsCom, Green Advisory Board: The Greater Lawrence Technical High School committee meets at 5:45 p.m. at the tech school, the Green Advisory Board meets at 6:30 p.m. at the town offices and the Conservation Commission meets at 7:45 p.m. at the town offices. 5. Weather: Today will be sunny with a high temperature of 73 degrees. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low 56 degrees.
