Airsoft Sniper Reported on Colonial Drive

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.
Friday, Feb. 3
At 7:23 a.m. a two-car accident was reported on Ballardvale Road. No injuries were reported.

At 8:22 a.m. picketers were reported on South Main Street. Police spoke with them about line of sight issues.
At 9:18 a.m. a hit an run accident was reported in a parking lot on Federal Street.

At 1:30 p.m. identity fraud was reported on Delphi Circle. A man called about someone using his credit card.
At 4:14 p.m. police Brad R. Thibodeau, 37, 1 Washington St., Haverhill, on Main Street. Thibodeau was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, a revoked registration and an uninsured motor vehicle.
At 5:12 p.m. a breaking and entering was reported on Stevens Street. A caller reported that a window in his home was broken.
Saturday, Feb. 18
At 7:15 a.m. police reported that someone dumped a gallon of motor oil in the middle of the roadway between Central Street and Red Spring Road.
At 1:20 p.m. the Fire Department responded to a brush fire on Vine Street.
At 2:56 p.m. a caller reported a man shooting a "sniper rifle" nearby on Colonial Drive. Police reported that an area resident was shooting an airsoft rifle outside and was using a target.
Sunday, Feb. 19
At 12:08 p.m. police arrested Judit Vajda, 31, of 311 Lowell St., on North Main Street. Vajda was charged with violation of an abuse prevention order.
At 12:34 p.m. police arrested James C Alex, 45, of 112 Abbott St., on North Main Street. Alex was charged with violation of an abuse prevention order.
At 3:04 p.m. a two-car accident was reported on Lowell Street. No injuries were reported.
Monday, Feb. 20
At 1:36 a.m. police arrested David E. Martinez, 21, of 13 Shepley St., on Sutherland Street. Martinez was charged with being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant.
At 8:07 a.m. Raytheon's head of security reported suspicious activity off Lowell Street and an officer responded and found several bags of marijuana in plain site. The owner will receive a summons in the mail for the possession of the marijuana.
At 9:31 a.m. a caller reports that someone keeps dumping trash on his property on Bannister Road.
At 6:51 p.m. police arrested Richard A Campbell, 48, of 24 Maple Ave., on Maple Avenue. Campbell was charged with assault and battery on a household member.
