Andover Closings and Cancellations, Jan. 18

Many government organizations have decided to close or cancel events for the afternoon and evening. Weather is supposed to turn to sleet in the late afternoon.Here is a list of the closings and cancellations as of 4:30 p.m:

The Greater Lawrence Technical School Committee meeting scheduled for tonight at 5 p.m. was canceled.

Andover schools were dismissed early today at 1:30 p.m.

All school evening activities and classes were canceled.

All athletic activities were canceled or postponed.

Memorial Hall Library is closed.

The "How to Run for Office Workshop" scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight at the town offices was postponed for the second time.
