Winterfest Returns To Andover With Ice Fishing, Fire Rescue Demo, More

Bundle up for the annual family-friendly event that often draws large crowds.

ANDOVER, MA — Residents are invited to bundle up and enjoy winter in Andover as Winterfest returns to Pomps Pond on Sunday, Feb. 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to the town’s event calendar.

A popular annual tradition, Winterfest typically draws large crowds for an afternoon of free, family-friendly winter activities hosted by Andover Recreation and Andover Conservation.

Planned activities include an ice fishing derby, a live ice rescue demonstration by Andover Fire Rescue, guided hikes around Pomps Pond, and wildlife tracking demonstrations. Additional winter-themed activities will also be offered throughout the event.

Organizers say Winterfest is designed to showcase Andover’s outdoor spaces while giving residents a chance to learn about winter safety, local wildlife, and recreational opportunities.
