Andover Garden Club Presents Andover Pollinator Pathway
A founder of the local organization promoting native plants and healthy pollinator habitats will offer tips and program updates.

The Andover Garden Club’s February 6 membership meeting will feature Suzanne Korschun, a founder of the Andover Pollinator Pathway (APP), the organization whose mission is to promote native plantings and healthy habitats for pollinators throughout our community. The Andover Garden Club provided a substantial grant to help launch APP.
Korschun’s interactive slide program will showcase local gardens and present ways that Andover residents can make a difference, starting right in their own yards. The presentation will highlight links to program recordings at Memorial Hall Library, recount the progress since APP’s founding, and highlight future plans to reach more residents and students with its environmental message. Korschun will also explain how to use the website to register a yard as an APP site—many more yards qualify than homeowners realize.
According to Susan Johnston, past Andover Garden Club president, “Suzanne has been involved since the APP’s inception and has played several important roles. Her artistic talent has been instrumental in creating materials to illustrate and advertise the program’s initiatives, and her horticultural knowledge and enthusiasm for native plants and the role they play in the natural world have contributed to the growing number of gardeners understanding the importance of pollinators and learning gardening practices that are best for the environment.”
