Andover High School Building Project Community Survey Goes Live
The survey is open until March 15. The Building Committee's next meeting is Thursday morning and a public forum is scheduled for March 9.

ANDOVER, MA — Andover Public Schools is reminding the public that the Building Committee Community Survey about the high school building project went live on Wednesday.
The survey, available online, is designed to determine which aspects of the building project are most important to the community, what they would like to see in a future project and what additional concerns people would like to see the Committee address.
"A high school building project could be the most significant capital project our town has ever undertaken. Ongoing feedback is critical to decisions about the project, and our community benefits from your input," the Building Committee said in a statement.

The building project reached a new phase last month when, on Feb. 9, the Building Committee unanimously voted to narrow the site approaches from three to two for further exploration and pricing.
The two options are: "Courtyard, the addition/renovation approach, and "Campus 2," the new building approach.

In addition to the survey, a few upcoming public events will allow the community to engage with the building project.
At 8:15 a.m. Thursday, the next Building Committee Meeting will take place in the Select Board Conference Room at the Town Offices, 36 Bartlett St.
During the meeting, HMFH Architects will be providing a design update that analyzes the two remaining site approaches. The team will present preliminary design and construction schedules for both options and continue discussions about issues like traffic flow and athletic field layout.
The meeting will be broadcast live on AndoverTV (Comcast 99 / Verizon 43), streamed live from their website, and recorded for viewing out of their meeting archive.
Additional Building Committee meetings are scheduled for March 23 and March 29.
At 7 p.m. on March 9, a Community Forum will take place at Memorial Hall Library, 2 N Main St. The forum will feature the Building Committee, architects and the project team.
According to organizers, the discussions will include project timelines for both approaches, a review of floor plans and landscaping layouts, programming and site opportunities of a new auditorium and parking garage, and traffic flow.
Another Community Forum is scheduled for March 29.
