'Andover Thrives Community Day' Planned Sept. 25

The Sept. 25 event will kick off the celebration of the town's 375th anniversary.

ANDOVER, MA — Andover is holding a full-day celebration for the town's 375th anniversary, Sept. 25, the town said.

The event will take place at the Lower Shawsheen Playground, on the corner of York and Balmoral Streets, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

"It’s a day to celebrate Andover, our 375-year history and its continuing commitment to diversity and innovation which will keep the town thriving into the future," the 375th Anniversary Committee said.

The day will include the following attractions:

  • "Games and activities for kids and families
  • Stage performances all day by Andover arts and culture organizations
  • Community booths representing a diverse range of community organizations
  • Touch a truck area with Andover Police, Andover Fire, Department of Public Works and more
  • Trolley tours which will highlight Andover’s history
