Andover's Dominika Silvestri Succeeds On Horse, In Classroom At Baylor
Silvestri, who competes in equestrian for the Texas school, was named an Academic Champion of the Month at Baylor.

WACO, TX — Andover High School alumna Dominika Silvestri, who competes in equestrian at Baylor University, was named an Academic Champion of the Month for October by Baylor's Student-Athlete Center of Excellence, the school announced.
Silvestri, a senior finance major, was an NCEA Academic All-American and Academic All-Big 12 first-team selection during the 2021-22 season, which stretches from September to March.
Silvestri also was named NCEA Flat Rider of the month of March.

This past summer, Silvestri served as a finance intern at Dell Technologies.
"It has been a privilege to be a part of Baylor Athletics and attend such an amazing university," Silvestri said. "They have allowed me to really grow as a person and an athlete, as well as prepare me for success after graduation."

The Baylor equestrian team may have started the 2022-23 season with an 0-3 record, but Silvestri continues to make her mark in competition.
On Saturday, Silvestri scored a point with a Flat ride in a 17-3 loss to No. 4 Oklahoma State. Silvestri also scored a point with a Flat ride on Sept. 30 against Georgia and in Fences on Sept. 29 against South Carolina.
In high school, Silvestri finished first at the IEA Nationals in Open Over Fences, first at the NEHJA Derby Finals, third at Taylor Harris Finals, third in the USHJA Hunter Derby and eighth at the New England Horseman Council Finals.
