Bird Trapped in Home on Somerset Drive

Tuesday, Jan. 3

At 8:07 a.m. a caller reported that a bird was trapped inside a home on Somerset Drive. An officer gave advice to the homeowner.

At 9:38 a.m. a walk-in visitor to the police station reported a theft on Washington Avenue.

At 11:39 a.m. police stopped two individuals going door-to-door on Brown Street. Police took in one individual, a Maine resident, on an outstanding warrant. Police arrested Bennie Montgomery, 43, of 59 Hevey St., #2, Lewiston M.E., on a warrant. The warrant was for the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a previous charge that occurred out of town.

At 2:57 p.m. a caller reports finding a wallet in front of the Andover Gift Shop on Main Street.

At 5:49 a.m. a caller reported a coyote was hit by a motor vehicle on South Main Street. The state public works department was notified.

At 10:29 a.m. an erratic operator was reported on Interstate 495. A caller reported the vehicle eventually going to Methuen. Methuen Police were notified.
