Caller Reports Vehicle Pretending to be Police

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Saturday, Feb. 9

At 3:55 p.m. a caller reported that Woburn Street had not been plowed yet.

At 9:46 p.m. a caller reported that the operator of an older white Cadillac was using a blue strobe light in order to attempt to pull over other vehicles on the roadway. An officer located the vehicle and spoke with the operator, who said he was just flashing a flashlight inside the vehicle.

At 10:42 p.m. an officer reported a truck parked on Salem Street that was impeding the snow removal effort. The truck was eventually towed by Coady's in Lawrence.

Sunday, Feb. 10

At 12:14 a.m. police arrested Gearoid Iosagan, 25, of 179 Highland Road, on Salem Street. Iosagan, who has an Irish passport police say, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor.

At 11:58 a.m. a caller reported that high snow banks are making it difficult to see on coming traffic on Old South Lane. An officer reports no issues with the area.

At 1:21 p.m. a call from Onstar and Mercedes Collision Center both reported a two car accident on Interstate 93 northbound. No injuries were reported.

At 5:47 p.m. a caller reported cars doing donuts in the Brickstone Square parking lot.

Monday, Feb. 11

At 4:24 a.m. a resident reported hearing a loud clang in the Stouffer Circle area. It turned out to be snow removal equipment at Raytheon.

At 8:35 a.m. a caller reported a two-car accident with no injuries on Jenkins Road.

At 10:42 a.m. a caller reports an accident involving a town plow on Porter Road. Injuries were reported.

At 7:03 p.m. a caller reported a car that ran into a snow bank on Chestnut Street and got stuck.
