Chemical Accident Injures Two on Frontage Road

The police logs for Monday, March 21 contained several incidents and two arrests.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Monday, March 21

At 10:15 a.m. a woman came into the police station to report that another woman punched her in the face at Richdale’s on Railroad Street. The other woman also came into the station to report the incident to police.

At 10:59 a.m. police reported damage to property at the United Lebanese Cemetery on Corbett Street.

At 12:11 p.m. police arrested Michael Godin, 52, of 132 Foster St., Lawrence, on North Main Street. Godin was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and no inspection sticker.

At 12:29 p.m. a two-car motor vehicle accident was reported on Andover Street.

At 3:16 p.m. Cambridge Isotope Labs on Frontage Road reported a chemical explosion and requested an ambulance for a 25-year-old female. The Fire Department, as well as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), arrived on scene. The incident turned out not to be an explosion, but a chemical accident. Two employees were transported to the Lawrence General Hospital.

At 3:53 p.m. police arrested Charles T. Tardugno, 29, of 2 Brierwood Circle, Andover, on High Plain Road. Tardugno was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and intimidation of a witness.
