Child Injured by Airbag on Essex Street

Friday, Jan. 20
At 2:24 a.m. a vehicle struck a Columbia Gas utility box on Forrest Drive. The gas company was notified.

At 7:15 a.m. a single car crash was reported on Summer Street. A vehicle hit a utility pole. National Grid was notified.
At 6:21 p.m. a two-car crash with injury was reported on Shawsheen Road.

Saturday, Jan. 21
At 12:33 p.m. a motor vehicle accident was reported on Torr Street. No injuries were reported.
At 1:29 p.m. a single car crash with injury was reported on Essex Street. A 10-year-old passenger was complaining about burns from the airbag deployment.
At 2:24 p.m. an ambulance was called for a 4-year-old that was struck by another sledder while sledding on Bobby Jones Drive.
At 3:10 p.m. the reported that a fire hydrant and a couple of mailboxes were damaged on Penni Lane. This was reported as a hit and run crash.
Sunday, Jan. 22
At 3:21 a.m. police arrested Radys G. Rodriguez, 48, 17 Seventh Ave., Haverhill, on Haverhill Street. Rodriguez was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
At 2:06 p.m. police stopped one vehicle and cited the operator for possession of a class B substance on River Road.
At 9:59 p.m. police arrested Candence Cain, 38, 12 Nutter Road, North Reading, on Andover Street. Cain was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and speeding.
Monday, Jan. 23
At 12:13 p.m. a possible scam was reported on West Parish Drive.
At 1:33 p.m. a caller reported that he was working out at and someone stole cash from his wallet.
At 3:11 p.m. a caller reported a squirrel stuck in a house on Reservation Road. The caller reported he was able to remove the squirrel.
At 4:20 p.m. a caller reported that his house was broken into on Boston Road.
