Early Morning Elm Street Crash Injures Three

Emergency crews had to use the Jaws of Life.

An early morning car crash on Elm Street sent three young men to the hospital.

Just after 1 a.m. Friday morning, police received a call about an accident near 86 Elm Street involving a white Mitsubishi Lancer.

It took emergency crews a half hour to remove the three occupants -- described as males in their late teens to early 20s -- from the vehicle. They had to use the Jaws of Life to extract the third occupant, who was trapped beneath the car's collapsed dashboard and front end.
