Andover Historical Society staff will unveil a new project using digital media to begin recording Andover history. Andover Historical Society PR & Development Assistant Carrie Midura provided this description of the project:
"The Andover Historical Society is about to turn 100 yet it remains a vibrant presence in the Andover community. The Society’s new mission and vision direct us to be out in the community – telling local history stories and building connections between residents and their town. We do this in order to foster a strong community that knows its history, values what it inherits, and takes pride in what it passes on to future generations.
Our new Digital History Project is just one facet of this new mission. The activities are still being fleshed out but the following are several mini-projects that can be done by individuals on their own time, whether from home or at the Historical Society.

We work to help people to find a way to connect to and be a part of their community and to care for their community and its resources. Local historical societies are uniquely positioned to build connections between people and their town by sharing the history – and the stories – of the place people call home. The Andover Historical Society has embraced this new mission and is out in our community talking with people and sharing the town’s unique stories. We look forward to welcoming new volunteers who can help us make even more connections with the community."
