Star player on the Lady Warriors basketball team was Andover Patch’s Athlete of the Week. Gomez-Martinez. She reached 1,000 points in her career during a recent game against Barrington High School.

Youth Football Coach Kevin Lynch was recently awarded the State Junior High Football League Coach of the Year. He will be honored at a date in March at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

Selectman Ted Teichert chided Town Manager Reginald “Buzz” Stapczynski for handing the board a budget that was roughly 5.3 million over what the town had is expecting in revenue. He called it “nothing.”

Andover High School interim principal Thomas Sharkey told the School Committee that there are many classes that have low attendance and should be taken out of the high school’s curriculum. However, the school will be adding some new classes to address issues among the student body as a whole.
