Here are five people who made the news this week in Andover. They include someone who is dead, someone who is in jail and someone who is just really good at basketball.

This Burlington man attempted to flee from police this past Wednesday night after almost hitting several pedestrians in Boston. Police eventually caught Rodriguez in Andover.

The star captain of the Andover girls basketball team sunk 22 points during the team’s “thrashing” of Lawrence High School. Nine of those 22 points were from the three-point range.

: The commissioner of the Department of Conservation and Recreation announced that Andover would be receiving a grant from the department to clean Field Pond in Harold Parker Forest.

The highway superintendent commented this week on what the public works must do to recover from the nasty snow earlier this winter. He said that “pothole season” is bound to start soon.
