Five Things You Need to Know Today, June 20

Here are five things you need to know today Wednesday, June 20.

1. Last Day of School: Today is the last day of school for all Andover Public Schools. The day will follow the early release day schedule; 11 a.m. for high school and middle school students and 11:45 a.m. for elementary school students. Find more information on the school website. 2. Senior Work-Off: If you're a senior citizen interested in the property tax work-off program, the deadine for applications is next week, June 29. However, all those that wish to apply must attend a mandatory forum. The only forum left is this Friday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m. 

3. Hot Weather Safety: Temperatures are supposed to reach nearly 100 degrees today and the Andover town website has some useful information on hot weather safety.

4. School Committee: The School Committee meets tonight at 6 p.m. at the school administration building, school committee meeting room.

5. Going to Work?: Students looking for summer work but are under 18 must file for a work permit. You can obtain them at the high school's registrar's office.
