Five Things You Need To Know Today, March 18

The Annual Town Election, the girls basketball championship, and more important stuff is in five thing today.

Here are five things you need to know today:

Weather: Today should be beautiful. Make sure to enjoy it! This morning should be fairly cloudy but will eventually clear by the end of the morning, according to the National Weather Service. They also say that we should see a high temperature of around 66 degrees in Andover with a west wind between 13 and 23 miles per hour. Friday night will be cloudy and carry a low temperature near 30 degrees.

Champioinship!: Woooooo! The Andover Lady Warriors have their eyes on the Girls Basketball State Title for the second year in a row and will take on Amherst tomorrow in the State Championship at the DCU Center in Worcester. The game starts at 5:45 p.m. tomorrow. Check out our preview article at 6 a.m.

Meet Those Candidates: The Annual Town Election is coming up on Tuesday and Andover Patch is introducing the candidates for the selectmen and school committee during short individual videos today. The selectmen profile videos go up at 6 a.m. today and the School Committee will go up at 11 a.m.

Uncover Your Hidden Treasures: The Andover Historical Society is inviting the public to the local version of “Antique Roadshow” in the antique appraisal event “What’s it Worth?” Find out how much your antiques are worth at 7 p.m. tonight at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation on Locke Street.
