Funeral Mass For Andover Mother, Son Scheduled For Saturday In Danvers
Linda Robinson, 55, and Sebastian Robinson, 12, were found shot to death in their home Thursday. Friends and family are invited to the mass.
ANDOVER, MA — The family of a mother and son who were found shot to death in their Andover home Thursday has announced there will be a funeral mass and burial for both victims this weekend, according to C.R. Lyons & Son's Funeral Directors.
Linda Robinson, 55, and Sebastian Robinson, 12, were the victims of a murder-suicide, according to authorities. Police said Andrew Robinson, 56, shot and killed his wife and son before taking his own life.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, a funeral mass for both Linda and Sebastian Robinson is scheduled to take place at the Leo & Joan Mahoney Wellness Center at Saint John's Preparatory School in Danvers, located at 72 Spring St., where Sebastian Robinson was a sixth grader. Relatives and friends are invited.

Visiting hours will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in the Wellness Center at the school.
Burial will be held privately, according to the funeral home.

In an obituary on the Lyons & Sons website, Sebastian Robinson is remembered as somebody who loved his school community and was a compassionate classmate to those around him.
Robinson played the cello in the school's string ensemble, treasured literature and was a gifted writer. He also went the extra mile in all of his assignments with creativity, a desire to learn and a sense of wonder, according to the tribute.
Robinson is described as a bright light in his circle of friends and somebody who adored animals, his bike and his extensive Lego collection.
"Sebastian was a wonderful young man. He was a kind and gentle presence, well-loved by his teachers," St. John's Preparatory Head of School Ed Hardiman told CBS Boston last week.
Hardiman added: "As I've talked with his teachers this morning, the description they've continually offered is he was a very gentle soul who felt very grateful to be a part of the Prep community, had a tremendous friend group and was very connected to our music program, to our campus ministry program, and just someone who was very well-loved as a gentle soul."
St. John's Prep held a prayer service for Sebastian Robinson last Thursday.
In an obituary for Linda Robinson on the Lyons & Son's website, Robinson is described as a woman who considered Sebastian her pride and joy.
"More than anything, being a mother was Linda's greatest gift," the tribute reads.
Linda (Hachey) Robinson was born in in Lynn, was a 1985 graduate of Lynn English High School and a graduate of Merrimack College.
Robinson, who lived in Andover for 30 years, began her career as a model before transitioning into a successful career in accounting and human resources, according to the tribute.
The Boston Globe reported that Linda Robinson was the director of finance at Andover-based Sema4 Inc. before leaving the company in late 2020 after 25 years.
Mark DiSalvo, president and chief executive of Sema4 Inc. told the Globe that Robinson was a great employee and parent.
"She was diligent and exacting, and detailed (in her work). It was exactly the kind of diligence that one wants in a senior financial control position," DiSalvo said.
DiSalvo added: "She was an extraordinarily attentive, loving, close mother ... that relationship was the defining relationship of her life. Sebastian was her entire world."
According to the Lyons & Son's website, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sebastian and Linda Robinson Scholarship Fund, c/o Saint John's Preparatory School, 72 Spring St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
