Get Rid of Old Electronics This Saturday

The town will be holding an electronics disposal day this Saturday at West Elementary School.

Do you have exccess electronics throughout your home or just cluttering up your storage space? If so, you're not alone.

This Saturday, June. 2, the town will be holding their electronics collection day at from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

While the town is charging a fee for each type of electronic device, there will be no charge for CD players, DVD players, stereo equipment, small kitchen appliances (blenders, food processors, coffee makers) hair dryers, and phones.

Proof of residency is required. 

Below are all of the per item fees for the electronics collection (per the Recycling Trash Guide):

  • Computer Monitor
    Under 15": $5.00
    15" thru 20”: $10.00
    Over 20”: $15.00
  • Computer CPU Unit: $5.00
  • Microwave Ovens:
    Stand Alone: $10.00
    Over The Stove: $15.00
  • Televisions:
    (under 15") $5.00
    15-25 inch: $10.00
    26-35 inch: $20.00
    36+ inches, consoles, or projection: $40.00
    Add $5.00 for built-in VCR/DVD
  • Lead Acid Batteries: $10.00
  • Batteries: (flat fee/any quantity) $5.00
  • Fluorescent Lights: No Charge
  • Ballast: $2.00
  • Mercury Containing Items: No Charge
