Lawrence Woman Killed In New Year's Eve Shooting

LAWRENCE, MA — A Lawrence woman was killed Friday night in a shooting around Pearl Street, the Essex District Attorney’s Office said.

Officials identified the victim as Jumil Celladiya, 22 of Lawrence.

Police were sent to the Pearl Street area around 5:10 p.m. Friday to respond to shots fired. They found Celladiya suffering from a gunshot wound.

Celladiya was taken to Lawrence General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The Essex District Attorney’s Office and state and Lawrence police are investigating the shooting.

No arrests have been made.
