Merrimack Valley Nonprofits Get $400K In Grant Funding
The HEAL Program grants went to four local nonprofits to fund safe, supportive spaces for at-risk youth.
LAWRENCE, MA — Four local nonprofits were given nearly $400,000 in grant money to fund safe, supportive spaces for at-risk youth, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
The funding comes from the Healing, Equity, and Leadership (HEAL) Program, a Massachusetts Department of Public Health initiative to prevent youth violence across the state.
Lowell-based UTEC and Lawrence-based Family Services of the Merrimack Valley each received $102,500. Lawrence Prospera got $102,205, and Lawrence Community Works was handed $88,944.
