Monday Essentials: 5 Things to Know in Andover This Week

Your scoop on the coming week in Andover.

With school back in and local government gearing up after summer, this week looks to be a busy one.

  • Temperatures are expected to increase from in the low 70 Monday to possibly in the 90s midweek, with a lot of humidity.

  • The Board of Selectmen will meet Monday at 6 p.m. at Town Hall. On the agenda are discussions about eliminating the towns sub-precincts and a new outdoor dining license.

  • On Tuesday, the Andover Cultural Council will host "Soaring," from4 to 5:30 p.m. at Memorial Hall Library. This collection of works by students from seven of the town’s elementary schools is inspired by the meaning of the word "soaring" and interpretation of the theme in the form of birds.

  • On Thursday, The Mother Connection will have its Annual Kickoff Thursday at 7 p.m. at Andolini's.

  • Also on Thursday, musician Ryan Fitzsimmons will perform at Brasserie 28 starting at 8 p.m.
