More Than 1,000 Ballots Cast So Far in Election
The Annual Town Election polls are open until 8 p.m. tonight.
Voters have been trickling into the polls all day long to fill a variety of seats on town boards and committees, including one contested seat on the Board of Selectman and another on the School Committee.
The Annual Town Election is currently being held at the Andover High School Field House and Town Clerk Lawrence Murphy said that it doesn't look like the polls will see a high percentage of voters.
"It's been slow," said Murphy.

As of 3 p.m., Murphy said that 1,045 ballots had been cast at the field house, representing roughly 5 percent of active voters, or registered voters that returned their census forms.
At this rate, Murphy predicted a roughly 8 percent turnout by the time polls close at 8 p.m. But he said they may see a jump later on.
