UPDATED: Motor Vehicle Hits Pedestrian at Dascomb and Lovejoy

Police reported that a pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle at roughly 6 p.m. Wednesday night on Dascomb Road.

Andover Police and other emergency personnel responded to a pedestrian accident Wednesday evening at the intersection of Dascomb Road and Lovejoy Road.

At roughly 6 p.m. a motor vehicle hit a man, who police say was in his 50s, at the busy intersection and was reportedly stuck underneath the vehicle before he was given emergency care.

Police say the man suffered serious injuries and was eventually flown to Boston Medical Center after arriving at Lawrence General Hospital. Police do not have an update on his condition and are not releasing his name.

As of Thursday morning, police said that the driver of the vehicle had not been cited for any motor vehicle infractions.

Police could not provide any further details and are currently investigating the accident.
