Motorist Charged with OUI on Christmas Eve

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Sunday, Dec. 23

At 8:06 a.m. a caller reported that she has a bird in her closet in her home on Main street. An officer reported the bird entered through a vent and is still in the closet. Animal control was notified as well as the landlord.

At 11:58 a.m. a caller reported that a 55-inch television was stolen from the basement of her home, which is under construction on Oriole Drive. She believes one of the individuals working on the home may have taken it.

At 3:13 p.m. a two-car motor vehicle accident was reported in the parking lot to the Chateau Restaurant on River Road. Injuries were reported.

Monday, Dec. 24

At 4:28 a.m. police arrested Scott Bowman, 20, of 24 Park St., Apt. 1, Haverhill, on Loveyjoy Road. Bowman was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and a marked lanes violation.

At 9:16 a.m. a possible fire was reported on North Main Street. The Fire Department responded and found no fire.

At 10:34 a.m. a female that was bit by a dog was reported on Governors Drive.

At 11:52 a.m. a caller reported a two-car crash with no injuries on Main Street.

At 12:26 p.m. a caller reported a scuba tank on the side of the road on Prospect Road. The Fire Department retrieved the tank.

At 6:16 p.m. a caller reported hearing a female on an AVIS trail off Argilla Road yelling "Help." An officer did not see the female upon arrival at the trail.

At 10:47 p.m. a caller reported that his house was broken into about four to five hours prior on High Street. The caller reported that his TV is missing as well as other items.

Tuesday, Dec. 25

At 12:04 p.m. a caller reported getting brown water from her home on Bradley Road. The water department responded and advised the caller to run the spigots on the outside of the house.

At 3:38 p.m. a DPW employee reported a back hoe that just hit the side of a building on Lewis Street by accident. No injuries were reported.

At 11:04 p.m. a power outage was reported at the Public Safety Center.
