Multiple Accidents Reported Monday Morning

Accidents on Main Street, I-93 and I-495 kept local emergency crews busy.

The highways and streets of Andover were dangerous to navigate today because of icy conditions, which may have been the cause of multiple accidents this morning.

State and local police responded to three motor vehicle accidents in the early and late morning Monday in Andover.

State Police responded to two seperate accidents around 8 a.m. this morning. The first occurred on Interstate 495 northbound near Route 28 and caused significant delays. Injuries were possible.

Police responded to another shortly after the other on Interstate 93 around River Road. State Police have not yet provided more information for the two accidents.

Andover Police also reported that an accident occurred shortly before noon today on Main Street in Andover. Little information is known, but police say a tractor trailer hit a car on Main Street near Phillips Academy. One individual was transported to a local hospital with possible injuries.

With the temperature rising, roads are now clear and forecasts say that weather should be sunny tomorrow with a high temperature around 40 degrees.
