Neighbors Report Bylaw Violations at Controversial 40B Development

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Friday, Sept. 28

At 9:31 a.m. police assisted the Greater Lawrence Technical High School with a disciplinary issue at the school.

At 12:53 p.m. a caller reported that someone was harassing her over the phone on Pomeroy Road.

At 2:28 p.m. a caller reported a two-car crash on Chestnut Street. Personal injuries were reported.

At 3:41 p.m. a three-car crash with no injuries was reported on School Street.

At 5:57 p.m. a two-car crash with no injuries was reported on North Main Street.

At 9:53 p.m. a deputy reported that an ambluance is stuck in the mud by the Eugene Lovely Field. Elm Street Towing assisted.

Saturday, Sept. 29

At 1:48 a.m. a caller reported hearing a loud explosion and now his house has no power on Rocky Hill Road. National Grid responded to a breaker problem.

At 6:32 p.m. a caller reported that his license plate was stolen off one of his trailers on Lupine Road.

At 11:01 a.m. a caller reported that the lights to the entrance of the Brookside Estates appear to have been shot out by a pellet gun.

At 11:04 p.m. a caller reported that he witnessed a hit and run on Locke Street. He was able to provide the license plate number to police.

At 11:05 p.m. a caller reported construction workers working on River Street on the weekend and they are not supposed to be working on Saturday or Sunday. The building inspector responded and said he would contact the police if he needed their assistance.

At 1:10 p.m. a caller reported hearing a loud explosion and then found a "bottle bomb" in a sandpit off Abbot Street.

At 4:29 p.m. a two-car crash was reported on Main Street.

At 5:47 p.m. a caller reported brown water on Woburn Street. Police suggested that the caller run the outside spicket to clear their plumbing of the brown water.

Sunday, Sept. 30

At 9:44 a.m. a caller reported a down tree that was blocking half the roadway on Boutwell Road.

At 12:18 p.m. McDonald's reported a crash in their parking lot on North Main Street.

At 5:20 p.m. a caller reported being bit by a dog on Summer Street. The animal control officer responded.
