Obituary: Michael Marcoux, Long-Time Andover High School Teacher
A teacher who served the district for more than 30 years died following a battle with cancer, according to his obituary.
ANDOVER, MA — A long-time Andover High School teacher died last week after a short battle with cancer. Michael Marcoux "influenced and counseled hundreds of students for more than 30 years," according to his obituary from Fay McCabe Funeral Home in Lowell.
Marcoux served as senior class advisor and student government advisor while organizing several senior class trips to Europe. He also established the school's book club.
"There is no end to the ways Michael mentored countless students over the years," his obituary reads.

Marcoux was born and raised in nearby Lawrence where he attended Central Catholic High School.
