Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Downtown Andover Crash
A 42-year-old Andover woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after she was hit by a car on Elm Street Wednesday evening.
ANDOVER, MA — An Andover woman was hospitalized with serious injuries when she was hit by a car on Elm Street Wednesday, police confirmed.
The 42-year-old Andover woman was crossing the street around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday when she was hit by a 2021 Subaru Impreza driven by a 66-year-old Haverhill woman, Lt. Edward J. Guy said.
The crash occurred near 31 Elm Street.

The Andover woman was treated by Andover EMS and taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

The driver stopped and is cooperating with police, Guy said.
" Lt. Charles Edgerly and Off. Daniel Devine are investigating the circumstances regarding the accident," Guy said. "Anyone with information or who witnessed the accident are encouraged to contact the Andover Police Department."
As of Thursday afternoon, no charges had been filed. The accident investigation is ongoing, Guy said.
No update was available Thursday on the woman's status.
Another crash occurred in the same area Thursday morning, Guy confirmed. One person was hospitalized with unknown injuries after a crash on Summer Street at Elm Street. The injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, Guy said.
